Matthew W. Miller

Matthew W. Miller is an experienced litigation attorney and executive with a demonstrated history of success in the legal industry. He focuses his practice on a wide range of civil litigation matters and has extensive experience handling Workers' Compensation, construction, premises liability, and transportation claims. 

 

Prior to joining Serowka Law, he co-founded a plaintiff’s personal injury practice where he litigated hundreds of tort and workers compensation claims. Matt also previously served as legal counsel to Reveal-Brainspace, a legal software company founded in Chicago.   

 

He has earned a BS from Indiana University-Bloomington – Kelley School of Business, a JD from the Illinois Institute of Technology – Chicago Kent College of Law, and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame – Mendoza School of Business. While attending law school, Matt underwent training to become a certified mediator and assisted adjunct professors with various criminal cases as part of the LADR program. 

 

He is a member of several legal and professional organizations including the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA), specifically the standing committee on legal technology, and the Workers Compensation Lawyers Association (WCLA).  Matt also currently serves as the treasurer of the Association of E-Discovery Specialists – Chicago Chapter (ACEDS). Outside of the office, he is involved with The Village Mission, a global nonprofit based in Reston, Virginia that works to prevent and protect against unwarranted persecution and human trafficking through education, training and extraction activities, and the Lakeview Food Pantry, a food distribution and social services program which helps low-income individuals achieve independence. 

 

Matt is a member of the Illinois State and Federal Trial bars.
